Snowdrop has been using Metamorphose for trainee sales recruitment for over 10 years, with many of the recruits now successful sales professionals. Steve Jemmott, Telemarketing Manager at Snowdrop, talks about his experience with Metamorphose.
I have been fortunate to have experienced Metamorphose as both a candidate and an employer. I first encountered Metamorphose having decided to change careers. I was concerned it would be too late for me to begin a career in sales that would also fulfil my desire for rapid movement up the ladder. Having passed a rigorous telephone interview and assessment day, I was delighted to have the reassurance I was of a calibre that could succeed in a sales environment. I had several interviews before being given the opportunity at Snowdrop Systems. Throughout this phase, I was delighted at the support given by the Metamorphose Account team.
As an employer I have once again enjoyed my experiences dealing with Metamorphose. Having experienced the process first hand, I have no issues with taking inexperienced candidates for a technical based role. I have the reassurance they have the key sales attributes we need, and that allows me to focus on developing other key areas such as product knowledge. Following an internal induction, I am able to get the candidates on the telephones in approximately 1 month. They will usually be close to targets within 3 months, however it takes approximately 8 months for their pipelines to become stable. During this time, we will also send them out to part 1 of the Metamorphose sales training, whereby on returning I often see a big change in their confidence and approach to the job.
There have been a number of success stories involving Snowdrop personnel employed through Metamorphose. These include internal promotions to senior management positions and several finalists and winners at the National Sales Awards. In the time I have been with Snowdrop I have been promoted to Telemarketing Manager, and continue to progress quickly up the ladder.

We could quite easily employ experienced people, however with an inexperienced person, we have a blank canvas with which to mould the employee into our style. This has proved invaluable with the sales team helping Snowdrop become a market leader.
